Leaving a Legacy

A few weeks ago we went to a reunion for Ryan's family.  It was a lot of fun for the kids to hang out with their cousins (always a favorite thing, especially for Jack) and for Ryan and me to talk with his relatives.  As I looked around I was struck by how awesome Ryan's family legacy is.  There were around 70 people, and when we sang the "Doxology" it was a foretaste of heaven and the angels singing, four part harmony and all.

On a less serious note, here are my kiddos playing at the party.  It was held at a church, and they had this great courtyard with playhouses and a swingset.  The kids brought out all of the ride-on toys and rode them around the sidewalk and mulch.  They played all afternoon and could have kept going even longer if we hadn't dragged them away to go home!

I'm sort of obsessed with Caroline's pigtails.  I think she just looks so cute in them!
This is the only picture we got of Jack.  He was too busy playing with his cousins, and we hardly saw him the whole day!

Grant and Caroline

Caroline and Ryan's cousin's daughter, Vivienne--They are only 2 days apart, but she is much bigger than my little girl.  It was fun to see them playing and laughing together.
