A few weeks ago we transitioned the girls into their own room. I must confess that a "Girls' Room" was one of the things I was most excited about when I learned I was having another girl. They are just so sweet and cute...and PINK and PURPLE. I mean, I'm a girl, too! :)
The space is a little tight, but the girls don't seem to mind.

The names are an idea from Pinterest that Ryan made for the girls. I love them!
These two letters are also an idea from Pinterest that Ryan made. Aren't they adorable?
The first week that Caroline was in the room it was without her sister. We assumed that the transition from the crib to a bed would be easy.
Um, yeah, not so much.
Each night we would suggest the bed (made with the sheets and bedspread she had chosen!), but each night she would opt for the crib. Finally, we HAD to take Elizabeth out of our room because of a moldy floor issue.
Sorry, sweet three-year-old, but you're getting kicked out of the crib.
Once she threw her brief temper tantrum (quelled quickly by telling her she wouldn't get lullabies if she kept it up), she got into her bed and went to sleep. She has now discovered how fun a bed is: more room to play with her stuffed animals and cozy covers (or "cubbers"). Elizabeth has also enjoyed being in a crib, especially as she has begun moving so much more! She loves kicking her legs, and I often hear her banging her legs against the wall or rails of the crib. It will be fun to see how the girls enjoy their space as they get older!
