Today I am thankful for
...laughter. We watched a movie tonight that, while not necessarily the most morally stellar movie, was pretty funny. I love laughing!
...Elmer's Glue and the Internet. This afternoon my nephew ran out of the house with no shoes on and, unbeknownst to anyone, stepped on some cacti. When my brother-in-law was holding him (about 3 hours after the incident), he felt sharp pokey things on his foot. He took off his pajamas and realized his foot was covered in tiny little spikes from the cactus. Poor little guy! Ryan looked on the Internet how to remove these, and it said to apply a thin layer of Elmer's Glue and, after it dries, peel it off, which also takes out the needles. (Tweezers only break them so they are too short to really remove.) Needless to say, it was a rough experience, made only slightly better for Landon with ibuprofen and an iPhone. So, take note: glue is good for taking out cactus spikes.
