On Sunday we finally made it to the Children's Museum haunted house, "Vampire Vacation." It was a lot of fun, and we didn't make the mistake we made last year by going during the lights-out hours. That was just too scary. (In fact, Jack had nightmares Sunday night even with the lights on at the haunted house!) They always do a great job, and we earned free tickets by doing the summer reading club at the library this summer--even better!
At the end of the haunted house they have this bench, and the boys posed with the fangs they received in the haunted house. Oooh, scary!
Sunday afternoon we also decided to carve our pumpkin--and by "we," of course, I mean Ryan. All the rest of us do is watch, offer suggestions, and admire his handiwork. To see what he ended up carving, you'll have to check back and read the Halloween post. :)
I love how Jack looks freaked out by the first cut.
"What's in there?"
Grant did great digging right in to the pumpkin, pulling out the seeds and guts.
"Eww!"
We even made Caroline get her hands right in there.
This is her reaction. Hopefully she won't be scarred for life by this experience!
